Hold your ground
No one wants to take a backwards step, especially when in steep terrain. With Auto Vehicle Hold switched on, Forester will hold its ground with hydraulic brake pressure maintained. Then with the wheels delivering good traction the Forester will move off, without rolling back.

Life can throw a lot of distractions at you, so Forester’s revolutionary Driver Monitoring System – Driver Focus1 watches out for you. Using a camera to monitor the driver for signs of fatigue or distraction, the system sounds a warning if the driver is detected as not focused on the road ahead.

The power of sight
You can’t see what you can’t see. Which is why Subaru's Vision Assist preventative safety is now standard on all Forester variants. Using radar sensors to detect approaching vehicles, the system alerts the driver via visual or audible warnings. All models are equipped with Blind Spot Monitor, Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert to warn you of vehicles approaching when reversing. Subaru Forester 2.5i-L AWD, 2.5i Premium AWD and 2.5i-S AWD also add Side View Monitor, Adaptive Driving Beam, Front View Monitor and Reverse Automatic Braking.

Just your speed
The next generation of EyeSight® Driver Assist technology features an all-new Manual Speed Limiter, allowing the driver to preset a maximum speed via a steering wheel mounted switch. Be it 40kms or 100kms, the vehicle will adjust engine torque or apply braking if you are about to exceed your set speed. Plus a new EyeSight® Vision Assist monitoring feature projects visual alerts onto the windscreen, to warn the driver of any potential dangers without them taking their eyes off the road.
